The authors undertook a preliminary study of M67 giants, and succeeded
in observing two stars on the upper giant branch. Both of the spectra
showed Mg II emission, indicative of activity. Ground-based spectra of
the Ca II K-line, although only weakly exposed, confirm the
chromospheric emission.
