The theoretical models for Be/X-ray binaries are reviewed, which include: the evolution model from a close binary containing two normal B-type stars to a Be/X-ray binary, the physical model describing the shell of Be stars, the accreting mode and rate determined by the characteristics of Be and neutron stars, and the theoretical explanation for the light curve of X-ray bursts.
