Archival plates from the Sonneberg Observatory in East Germany and the Ondrejov Observatory in Czechoslovakia were used to study long-term variations in the X-ray luminosity of 30 X-ray sources. The sources include: X-ray binary stars; cataclysmic variables; intermediate pole stars; and BY Dra stars. Selected results are presented in the form of historical light curves.
