The transition probability of the 3s2 1S0-3s3p 3p10 line in Al+ has been measured by time-resolved observation of the spin-changing (intersystem) emission at 2669.157 Å using an ion storage technique. A laser-produced plasma was used as the source of the metastable Al+ ions. The A-value for the intersystem transition is (3.33±0.23)×103s-1 at the 90% confidence level. This result is used to derive two line intensity ratios involving the intersystem line as a function of electron density and temperature.
