A search for water vapor maser emission toward the S 254-257 region, toward prominent outflow sources, and toward H II regions and giant molecular clouds in the outer galaxy is presented. Four new masers are found: toward S 255, S 256, GL 490, and HH 6. The maser in HH 6 coincides in position (within 1 arcsec) with a compact radio continuum source, which might contain the exciting source of the HH region. In S 76 E and S 87, two spatially separated components are detected. Toward the outer galaxy, negative results are reported in 11 Sharpless regions and five giant molecular clouds.
