The development of large telescopes in space is discussed. Rigid and floating arrays are attractive. For a modest price increase, a four aperture floating array is much faster, more reliable, and considerably facilitates image reconstruction. Rather than waiting for support from the space agencies, a World Agency for Space Observatories should be created and provided with funds for developing space arrays. Technology tests should start as soon as possible aboard shuttle flights.
