On the basis of the analysis of published data the braking index n = 3.1±0.2 was estimated for pulsars whose total luminosity exceeds 2×1032erg/s and is less than 5×1035erg/s. Such an estimate of the braking index allows the suggestion that the evolution of the pulsars in question seems to proceed in accordance with the law describing the energy losses by a rotating magnetic dipole.
