The authors report the detection of the J = 41→40 rotational transition of HC11N in the direction of the Taurus molecular cloud complex. The line strength is in good agreement with predicted values, and the rotational parameters, although determined more accurately with these results, remain unchanged from those obtained previously using observations of IRC +10°216 alone.
