Radial velocity measurements for 33 galaxies in the very rich cluster A1146 were obtained with an R-C spectrograph attached to the CTIO 4-meter telescope. A new velocity dispersion of 1040 km/s is derived on the basis of eight velocities. It is shown that the new dispersion is consistent with current estimates of the X-ray luminosity of A1146. The complete data set for the radial velocity measurements is given in a table.
