The luminous supernova remnant (SNR) J1228+441 is the brightest radio source in the irregular galaxy NGC 4449. J1228+441 has an age of less than 200 years based on previous optical and UV observations making J1228+441 one of the few known intermediate-age SNRs and a link between the young (age < 30 years) extragalactic SNe and the older SNRs found in the Milky Way. We present current VLA observations combined with VLA archive and previously published observations that reveal a definite decline in the radio emission at 1.4 and 5.8 GHz over a period of almost 30 years. We discuss the light curve of J1228+441 and present analysis and fitting of the light curve including the decline rate of the radio emission.
