The interstellar medium in the Magellanic Clouds is being studied by a variety of surveys at radio wavelengths. They include (1) 21cm line observations of neutral hydrogen; (2) continuum observations in both total intensity and polarization to identify thermal HII regions, supernova remnants producing synchrotron emission, and the overall galactic continuum emission; (3) observations in the molecular line of CO to characterize star-forming molecular cloud complexes; and (4) polarimetry of background radio sources seen through the Magellanic Clouds to provide information on the magnetic field structures of these two galaxies. The continuum and 21-cm line observations have been made with the Australia Telescope Compact Array and the CO observations with the 4-m NANTEN telescope. All the ATCA surveys have resolutions of 30 arcsec, or 7 1/2 pc at the distance of the LMC. The CO survey has a resolution of 2.6 arcmin or 39 pc. Many follow-up studies with higher resolution are being conducted. The combined data from these surveys plus those at other wavelengths also described in this session will provide a good overview and statistics of the overall gaseous components and the processes of star formation and death in the Magellanic Clouds.
