In an ongoing high radio frequency survey for distant pulsars at Jodrell Bank, 32 new pulsars have been confirmed, including one of period 85 ms and two objects of longer period which both have characteristic ages on the order of 20,000 yr. Only three known pulsars are younger than this. Most of the new pulsars have very high dispersion measure, and many display significant multipath scattering, which suggests that, even at this high radiofrequency, a significant number of short-period pulsars may still be missing which would otherwise be detected in a flux-limited sample. No new pulsars have been detected in binary systems or with 'millisecond' periods.
