New high-resolution MERLIN and VLA maps of the quasar 1150 + 497, which has a bright jet with compact knots and sharp bends, but no prominent hotspot are presented. The source shows very little variation of Faraday rotation or depolarization. The discussion focuses on whether this is a disrupting jet which is intrinsically bright or whether it simply appears bright due to Doppler beaming.
