Observations of 39 nearby, mostly dwarf galaxies are presented. The observations were carried out at the 1.2-m telescope of Observatoire de Haute-Provence (France) with B, V and I Cousins filters. Based on surface and integrated photometry of the obtained images we derived total B, V and I magnitudes and integrated B-V, V-I colours as well as radii and magnitudes at the 25 m isophotal level. Azimuthally averaged surface brightness profiles were derived for 33 galaxies in each photometric band. Most of the profiles can be well fitted by an exponential intensity law of brightness distribution. The best-fitting exponential parameters are also given for the galaxies. Based on observations made at Observatoire de Haute Provence (CNRS), France. Table 3 is only available in electronic form at the CDS via anonymous ftp to cdsarc.u-strasbg.fr (130.79.128.5) or via http://cdsweb.u-strasbg.fr/Abstract.html
