Scientific paper

The X-ray source 1RXS J094247.2+700238 is located at the tip of a long (1.2 degree) and narrow (20 arcsec) H-alpha filament. It has been suggested that this filament is a bow shock or trail, powered by a compact object at its tip. We here propose Chandra HRC observations, aimed at localizing and thus identifying 1RXS J094247.2+700238. This will also allow us to carry out a search for pulsations from this source.
