Three candidates believed to be short orbital period polars were observed using the Spitzer Space Telescope Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) between May and August of 2005. The purpose of this data was to gain a better understanding of the spectral energy distribution (SED) of these types of objects. The reduced data was made available to three members of the Spitzer Teacher Observing Program. These teachers have utilized this information through the use of grade appropriate lessons and activities for middle and high school students. Other interested science teachers will receive instruction in these activities through workshops at local, state, and national levels with special emphasis on spectroscopy and an understanding of stellar evolution.
