The paper considers the effects of the microscopic electric field, Doppler broadening and radiation damping in the solar atmosphere magnetic field as well as the use of the perturbation theory of quantum mechanics to determine the broadening mechanisms and the absorption coefficient of the H beta line. The VAL quiet chromosphere model is used to solve the Unno-Beckers equations of radiative transfer for the H beta line and to obtain a numerical solution of the Stokes parameters of this line.
