We present three very deep (I < 26.5) samples of Lyman--break galaxies (LBGs) at z 3, 4 and 5 selected from the 2 square-degree Cosmic evolution Survey (COSMOS) and discuss their clustering properties. Our samples of LBGs are the largest to date in a contiguous region, and allow us to study the clustering properties of these sources, including the dependence of the clustering strength on UV luminosity and colors, with the unprecedented accuracy. We also measure the halo occupation distribution (HOD) function and its dependence on the galaxy colours. Finally, we discuss the evolution of galaxy clustering inferred from our measures and their implications within the hierarchical framework.
