We review recent observations of γ -ray lines from nucleosynthetic radioactivity from supernovae and massive stars. These include studies of Galaxy wide nucleosynthesis on million-year timescales, from 26Al (Diehl, R., et al. 2003, A&A, 411, L451) and 60Fe (Harris, M. J., et al. 2005, A&A, 433, L49), observations of radioactive 44Ti in the Cas A supernova remnant (Vink, J. 2005, Advances in Space Research, 35, 976) and from the galactic plane, and 56Ni decay lines from recent supernovae. We also discuss the contribution of radioactivity to the galactic electron-positron annihilation radiation (Knödlseder, J., et al. 2005, A&A, 441, 513).
