The predicted evolution of the abundance of the most important elements in the Sun is calculated in precise models taking into account the constraints provided by helioseismology. These theoretical results are then examined in the context of existing abundance measurements in the solar wind mainly, but also in the Sun directly and in other bodies in the solar system. The ultimate goal of such comparisons would be to identify possible correlation between different measurements to help construct a more complete and accurate picture of the evolution of the composition in the Sun itself and in the solar wind. The feasibility of this approach will be discussed.
