The paper compares the production of baryons by black holes small enough to evaporate X, X(bar) bosons with the Weinberg-Wilczek model for baryon production which applies only to the free decay of X-bosons in the SU(5), the grand unified gage theory. A model of baryon generation is given in an isotropically expanding universe containing a fraction of its energy density in black holes small enough to evaporate X, X(bar) bosons by the Hawking effect; even if the boson mass and the gage coupling constant have values which will prevent the Weinberg decay generating an asymmetry, the black holes can dominate the expansion dynamics of the universe for a period up to and including the evaporation time. Finally, it is explained that the present entropy per baryon may parametrize 'chaotic' expansion dynamics close to the Planck time.
