UBV photoelectric photometry taken to investigate the pulsation characteristics of the Delta Scuti star HR 1225 is presented. Periodogram analysis of the V observations, taken from October 1977 to December 1978, reveals a primary period of 0.1558 days and a secondary period of 0.1188 days, which, when compared with previous observations, indicate that the frequencies of the light variation of the star are stable in time. Observations also allow the determination of an absolute magnitude of 1.05, an effective temperature of 7600 K and a mass of 1.9 solar mass, together with pulsation constants which indicate that the first overtone mode is more prominent than the fundamental in the pulsation of HR 1225.
