The distance and absolute magnitude of SdO-type stars are very badly known. The existence of a SdO + F binary may therefore bring a solution to the problem.
By using a method already applied in a previous paper (Goy, 1977) we show that the spectral distribution of the F component is exactly similar to that of a normal F 2 V star. The absolute magnitude of the hot star can thus be deduced with good accuracy.
