The analysis of convection interacting with rotation in a compressible medium is applied to lower main sequence stars. Models of differential rotation were developed for main sequence stars of the types F5, G5, K0, K5, and M0; the rate of differential rotation in latitude at the surface was determined. Results show a definite tendency of differential rotation to decrease from a maximum at F5 to a minimum at G5, and then to increase towards later spectral types.
