The age distribution of G-dwarfs is used to select an evolutionary scenario of star formation in the solar neighborhood. The age calibration for eccentricities of stellar orbits is employed to determine the stars' ages. Comparison with simple models shows that the model with a constant rate of star formation corresponds to the observations. However, this result is distorted by failing to take into account stars with high orbit inclination relative to the galactic plane. Consideration of this effect results in better agreement between observations and the hypothesis of the initial burst of star formation.
