The UV spectral energy distribution presently derived from IUE observations for NGC 5077 is presently compared with those of the bulges of two galaxies, M31 and NGC 3115, which exhibit a similar Mg2 absorption-liner strengths and are known to lack gaseous disks. The lack of significant UV spectrum differences imply that there is no star formation activity more recent than 3 million years old in NGC 5077.
