Acceleration Of Particles - Diffusion - Shock Waves - Cosmic Rays - Supernova Remnants
Scientific paper
In this article we discuss the possibility of a cosmic-ray-dominated supernova remnant shock from the point of view of the diffusive confinement of cosmic rays near the shock. We examine the conditions under which this may be possible. Several examples are presented to illustrate the conditions. As expected, a cosmic-ray-dominated supernova remnant shock forms more `easily' if the supernova progenitor has created a large wind bubble.
