Ultra-low frequency pulsations are one of the most important signatures of magnetospheric dynamics. Numerous observations of these waves have been reported with respect to the Earth magnetosphere, which led to a very detailed understanding of these waves. Some observations of ULF pulsations in the Jovian magnetosphere have been reported too. They open a new opportunity, that is they allow a study of ULF pulsations in terms of a comparative planetology. The main difference between both magnetospheric systems is probably the energy source. The solar wind is the main driver of those pulsations observed at Earth while the planet's rotational energy is a most important energy reservoir to be trapped at Jupiter. The current state of our knowledge of ULF pulsations in both magnetospheres is given with special emphasis given to a comparison between Earth and Jupiter.
