A discussion is presented concerning the most desirable practices that can be adopted in the use of computers to solve the light curves of eclipsing binaries. Great care must be exercised in evaluating meaningful parameter uncertainties, and it is sugested that investigators have two completely independent sets of observations, obtained at different times and by different observers, available.
