Direct blue and red plates of the gamma-Cas nebulosity were obtained on January 12, 1967 and July 16, 1980 with the 1.2 m Schmidt telescope at the Hale/Palomar observatories. These plates are compared, showing that gamma-Cas is surrounded by both emission and reflection nebulae. These results are consistent with a model in which the reflection nebula lies in the equatorial plane of this Be star, where it is shielded from ionizing Lyman continuum radiation by the circumstellar disk around the gamma-Cas star. A comparison of these plates with plates taken 25 years earlier indicates no significant morphological changes or motion of any of the nebulosity near gamma-Cas.
