A new approach to the problem of overcoming the destructive influence of the Earth's atmosphere in astronomical observations is made. The approach is based on measuring the coherence function in the optical wavelength range and is shown to have a significant advantage over the traditional way of forming an image using a telescope. The author proposes to use this procedure for multimirror telescope design.
