Solar Microwave Bursts: Fine Structure

Scientific paper

Rapid frequency drifts appearing in the fast fine structure (FFS) and spike event in frequency range from 2545 to 2645 MHz are briefly introduced. The frequency drift characteristics of the FFS and the spike emission are compared. The plasma radiation and the electron cyclotron maser are used to explain the reasons of the rapid frequency drifts of FFS and spike emissions.
