We present optical identifications on the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey prints and long-slit CCD spectroscopy of 20 selected radio sources from the B3VLA subset of the third Bologna survey (B3). Most of the new identifications are low-redshift absorption-line galaxies, but some are more optically active objects, ranging in redshift from 0.033 to 1.051. Three sources are identified as quasars, and two show featureless continua and may be BL Lac objects. Four additional sources were found to he misidentified with foreground stars.
