The results of high speed UBVRI photometry of the W UMa eclipsing variable VW Cep are reported. Light curves, magnitude, and color data are presented. The V-I color at primary minimum is redder than at secondary minimum, and there is a measurable O'Connell effect that decreases with increasing wavelength. The times of minima are wavelength dependent, the shape of primary minimum in V-I and other colors is narrower than secondary minimum, and the color maxima are displayed from the geometric elongations in the direction of primary minimum.
