This proposal defines a brief test to verify that the carrousel positions for GHRS side 1 optical elements can be properly commanded from the side 2 encoder and electronics. The test uses the internal spectral lamp SC2, and one exposure each with gratings G140L, G140M and Ech-A. These exposures are identical to the standard wavecal/spybal observations. Photoscan observations will be made with mirrors N1 and A1. One final ACCUM exposure will be made with mirror N1. This test should preceed any other use of the gratings or mirrors on side 1 that require specific carrousel positions.
