The distances of all galaxies that have recently been suggested as possible members of the Local Group are discussed. Among 22 Local Group suspects only IC 10, Aquarius (=DD 0210) and Sagittarius (=SagDIG) have a high probability of being physical Group members. This brings the total number of certain or probable Local Group members to 29. Among Local Group dwarfs stellar population type appears to correlate with location. Faint DSph galaxies are mostly close satellites of M31 or the Galaxy. On the other hand the majority of DIr galaxies are situated more than 0.4 Mpc from the Andromeda nebula and the Milky Way system.
