Universe: Large-Scale Structure, Local Supercluster: Virgo

The distribution of galaxies up to a distance of 200 Mpc is flat and
shows a structure like a shell roughly centred on the Local
Supercluster. This result clearly confirms the existence of the
hypergalactic large-scale structure noted in 1988. This is presently the
largest structure ever seen.
