Light pollution is still getting worse in most locations worldwide. However, a relatively small number of individuals and organizations, including the AAS's committee that deals with the issues, have been making a great deal of progress in implementing solutions in a number of locations. The present report reviews briefly the problems and the solutions, discusses some of the current activities, surveys some of the resources available, and makes recommendations about what to do to make progress. Both IDA's and the Committee's Web pages contain more details on the issues: http://www.darksky.org and http://www.aas.org/ light/pollution.html
