We will present preliminary results from the first 86 GHz (3 mm) VLBI experiment to do linear polarization measurements. This initial observation included only three stations for a short range of time, on two quasars, known to be bright at millimeter wavelengths: 3C273 and 3C279. We have detected I and P fringes on both sources. The instrumental polarization contributions derived appear to be of the order of several percent. We will discuss the calibration of the data, including a treatment of the instrumental polarization contamination. Finally, we will show simple model fits to the visibility data and discuss the sub-milliarcsecond polarization structure of these sources.
