From the Deep Near-Infrared Survey (DENIS) we can expect for galaxies, at several spectral bands, the following parameters: right ascension and declination, major axis diameter, minor axis, position angle, magnitudes, mean surface brightness. For extragalactic distance scale and galaxy clustering studies, these parameters will be used in two different ways: alone or in connection with external data. Interesting domains using DENIS data alone are identified. Domains that could be studied using combined DENIS and Lyon-Meudon Extragalactic Database (LEDA) data (a general extragalactic database) are noted.
