As already known, the Catalog of Nearby Stars, 3d version (CNS3) by
Gliese and Jahreiss is incomplete and the missing stars are all faint,
red dwarfs. We underline that there are more stars missing in the South
than in the North, for both the CNS3 and the NLTT.
