A 7A resolution, 3300-9150A spectrophotometric atlas is presented for 25 objects in the Downes & Shara (1993) catalogue of Cataclysmic Variables (CV). The stars were selected among those listed as lacking of published quiescence spectra. The spectra we present generally pertain to photometric quiescence phases. UBVRI magnitudes, continuum fluxes at selected wavelengths, integrated fluxes of emission lines, and the status of CV membership are derived for the programme stars. Of the 25 systems surveyed 15 have spectra confirming their classification as CVs, 4 show hot continua without emission lines, 2 resemble A-type stars, 2 can be identified as WDs, one is a detached WD+dM system and one is probably a CV caught in outburst. Combining these results with the ones on 31 faint systems surveyed in Paper I gives the rate of validated CVs among the entries in the Downes and Shara catalogue which lack spectroscopic confirmation as ~63%. The rate of misclassified objects is ~10%. The confirmation rate is particularly low for candidates from the Palomar-Green survey.
