The Mira variable, V720 Oph is a newly discovered OH-maser and possible
member of the globular cluster NGC 6171. Infrared photometry of this
star suggests that if it is indeed a member of the cluster its
luminosity is significantly greater than normally reached by low mass
Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars.
