A semi-numerical method is used for the derivation of the parameters (position and frequency) of the resonant periodic orbits, in a galactic type two dimensional Hamiltonian system. Two kinds of periodic orbits are found: (i) orbits starting perpendicularly from the x-axis and (ii) orbits going through the origin. The comparison of our results, with those given by numerical integration of the equations of motion shows that, when the maximum perturbation is less or equal to about 10% of the unperturbed Hamiltonian, the agreement is good.
