Earth Rotation: Geodynamics, Earth Rotation: Differential Rotation
Scientific paper
The authors discussed the possibility of the Earth's differential rotation. They proved the differential rotation would possibly exist even for a small planet as Earth. Then they discussed the possible three kinds of astrogeodynamical effects caused by differential rotation: the Earth's rotation on decadal time-scales; the long term variation of the obliquity, the near diurnal free wobble due to the liquid core and inner core and its effect to the nutation.
