New orbital elements for the binary system HD\,152270 (WC7 + O6) are derived from high resolution observations and literature data, obtained between 1944 to 1989. Variations in position and structure of the peak profile, overlying the flat-topped C 3 569.59\,nm line, are used to derive a colliding wind model (cone model) for the system. The model is used to construct synthetic line profiles which are compared with the observed profiles. (SECTION: Stars)
