In the first part of my review, the present status of the possible black hole microlensing events and the evidence for the possible presence of intermediate mass black holes in some globular clusters are briefly discussed. The present understanding of high and low frequency quasi-periodic oscillations in systems containing black hole candidates is also reviewed. In the second part, the news from five individual objects (Cyg X-1, LMC X-1, SS 433, GRS 1915+105 and Sgr Aast) are presented. Finally, the updated list of confirmed black holes, containing 21 objects is given.
