The position of the new fast X-ray transient IGR J17464-2811 (ATEL #970) is consistent with that of the transient XMMU J174716.1-281048 which was active during XMM-Newton observations of this region performed on February 26-27, 2005 (Sidoli et al. 2006, A&A 456, 287). The positional coincidence as well as the closeness in time of the INTEGRAL and XMM-Newton observations strongly indicate that both satellites detected the same transient source.
