A compilation of ultraviolet, optical, infrared, and radio data show
that the Seyfert galaxies NGC 1275, NGC 3227, NGC 4151, NGC 5548, and
NGC 7469 exhibit signs of flows or jets. Night-to-night variations in
Balmer-line profiles and 10-150-day flares in the U BV RI bands resemble
phenonema expected in shocks and flows.
