I will be presenting a multi-wavelength study of sequential star formation in the W5 HII region as part of a larger scale study of sequential star formation. The W5 HII Region is a star forming region in the Perseus Arm, at a distance of about 2 kpc, and is an interesting example of potential sequential star formation. I have used data from the Canadian Galactic Plane Survey, the IRAS and MSX surveys and the Digitized Sky Survey to study the population of young stellar objects and the interactions between the components of the ISM. The morphology of the ionised and molecular gas and dust combined with the location of young stellar objects is indicative of sequential star formation. A comparison of the timescales for interaction between the molecular material containing the young stars and the formation of the stars is also consistent with sequential star formation.
